Passing through Osaka? Don’t rush, take a moment to savor the local flavors. Near Osaka Station, there is a small place called Genji-Soba where you can relish the best freshly milled buckwheat soba noodles in town. Looking for an expertly crafted coffee? You’re also likely to find it in Osaka at one of the independent coffee shops. It’s worth finding a peaceful pause in Osaka before you venture forth. While we didn’t stay overnight in this city, we did find ourselves passing through on more than one occasion via train connections and loving every moment. From the nostalgic appeal of ‘The Running Man’ sign to bars that stay open late, Osaka buzzes with a unique energy. Even amongst the noise it was possible to find quiet corners and perfect noodles. SO definitely make the most of your journey through this robust and tasty city.
