Czech Republic

Everyone goes to Prague. Fewer people carry on south, and that is where the Czech Republic gets interesting.

Set in the middle of Europe, the Czech Republic is a living mix of history and art.

The capital of the Czech Republic is Prague (in Czech: Praha). It is the largest city in the country and serves as its political, cultural, and economic center. Prague is known for its long history architecture, cultural scene. It is a popular tourist destination and is often referred to as the “City of a Hundred Spires” due to its many beautiful churches and spires that dominate the skyline. with its thousand-year-old history, stands as a sign of human creativity. Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex in the world, and it has been in use since the 9th century. Kings and emperors were crowned here for six hundred years.

The Charles Bridge, adorned with statues of saints, offers a glimpse into the city’s medieval past. The Charles Bridge is a popular filming location because of its beauty and its central location in Prague. The bridge has been featured in many different types of movies, including action films, comedies, dramas, and musicals.

Venture into the Old Town Square, where the Astronomical Clock stands as a sign of medieval ingenuity. Every hour, crowds gather to witness its animated display, a tradition spanning over six centuries.

The ethereal beauty of Tyn Cathedral in Prague is said to have inspired Walt Disney in the creation of the Castle at Disneyland. The parallel between these well-known structures is a sign of the universal power of beauty and artistry.

Further south, is one of our favorite Czech towns, Telc. Its UNESCO-listed Old Town Square is a canvas of pastel-hued facades, each a masterpiece of Renaissance and Baroque architecture. The centre dates to the 14th century and has barely changed since, which is why the whole square is UNESCO listed.

Telc Castle sits between two ponds, which is part of why the square behind it has stayed the shape it was. Very little of it was rebuilt after the last century, so most of what you see is original.

The Czech Republic offers a journey through time, where history is etched into the very stones that pave its streets. Prague gets the visitors and earns them. Towns like Telc in southern Bohemia are the reason people come back a second time.
