AFRICA
We have not written much about Africa yet, and we would rather say that than pretend otherwise. What follows is a starting point, not a guide from experience. From wildlife safaris to the postcard beaches of Mauritius and Seychelles, there is much to discover in Africa.
Here are some of the best countries to visit in Africa for safaris and other tourist attractions:
- Kenya: Kenya is home to some of the best known safari destinations in Africa, including the Maasai Mara National Reserve and Amboseli National Park. Visitors can enjoy game drives, bush walks, and hot air balloon safaris to see a variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, and zebras. Kenya also has an incredible culture and history, and visitors can learn about the Maasai people and visit their traditional villages.
- Tanzania: Tanzania is another popular destination for safaris, and is home to the Serengeti National Park,one of the largest and most diverse wildlife reserves in the world. Visitors can also visit the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is home to a variety of animals, including lions, elephants, and rhinos. Tanzania also has a beautiful coastline, and visitors can relax on the beaches of Zanzibar or Mafia Island.
- South Africa: South Africa is a popular destination for both safaris and other tourist attractions. Visitors can go on game drives in Kruger National Park or Addo Elephant National Park to see lions, elephants, rhinos, and other wildlife. South Africa also has a culture and history, and visitors can visit Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years.
